As a redshirt freshman (2015): Made first career appearance in second half vs. Towson, playing 23:56...part of team that swept Big Ten regular season and tournament titles.

As a freshman (2014): Part of team that won first Big Ten championship in school history.

Before Maryland: Played field hockey, lacrosse and soccer in high school...picked up nine shutouts in her 2012-13 field hockey season and nine shutouts in her 2011-12 lacrosse season...played for Focus Field Hockey club finished sixth in the national club championships in 2013 and was a National Futures Gold Medalist...bronze medalist at 2013 Disney Showcase...was an alternate for the National Futures Championship in 2012 and in 2011 won National Festival Pool champion.

Personal: Melissa Leigh Flowe...parents are John and Cindy Flowe...has two older siblings - Sara and Austin...came to Maryland for the great school spirit, successful program and incredible coaching staff...enjoys sailing and surfing...kinesiology major...intends to become a field hockey coach.
