GREENSBORO, N.C. - Taylor Cummings, and head coach Cathy Reese earned 2013 ACC Women's Lacrosse individual postseason honors, as announced Monday by the league office.

Schwarzmann earns her second straight ACC Offensive Player of the Year honor. The 2012 Tewaaraton Award winner, Schwarzmann has been recognized this season as an Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American, a Tewaaraton nominee, a member of the All-ACC Team, and was named the ACC Championship Most Valuable Player. A native of Sykesville, Md., Schwarzmann was a three-time ACC Player of the Week this season and became only the third player in league history to earn four career All-ACC honors. She enters the postseason having tallied 51 goals and 23 assists this year.

Sanza, who defends her title as the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, was named to the All-ACC Team and had 28 ground balls, 15 caused turnovers, and 15 draw controls this season. A native of Cockeysville, Md., Sanza was recognized as an Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American and is one of 25 Tewaaraton Award nominees.

Cummings, the 2013 ACC Freshman of the Year, finished the season first among league freshman with 2.53 points per game. She averaged 4.26 draw controls per game, second overall in the league and fifth nationally among rookies. A native of Ellicott City, Md., Cummings was one of only two freshmen named to the All-ACC Team and tallied multiple goals in 12 of 19 games played in her rookie campaign.

Reese led the Terrapins to a perfect 19-0 record and the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament to earn her sixth career ACC Coach of the Year honor, the most in league history, and her fifth straight. Maryland won the ACC regular season and tournament championships, outscored opponents 294-158, and compiled 10 wins against teams ranked in the top 20. Under Reese's guidance, five Terrapins were named to the All-ACC Team and three are Tewaaraton nominees, the second-most of any team in the nation.

Maryland plays host to the winner of the Towson/Stony Brook first round matchup Sunday at noon at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.
