Volunteer Assistant Coach

Sarah Forbes begins her second season as an assistant coach for the Maryland Terrapins after a decorated four-year career as one of the top offensive players in school history.

A three-time All-American and a four-year starter for the Terps, Forbes is tied for seventh all-time in assists (63) with current Terp Jen Adams and is 10th all-time in points (170) at Maryland. Her six assists against Brown in 1997 are also a Maryland single-game record.

The Australian native scored a team-high 58 goals in 1997 to lead the Terps to their third consecutive national championship. For her efforts, she also earned the National Offensive Player of the Year in 1997, and was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Female Athlete of the Year. An NCAA all-tournament team selection in 1996 and 1997, Forbes was a member of three national championship teams and one national runner-up team during her four-year career at Maryland.

A 1997 graduate of Maryland, Forbes received her degree in marine biology. This summer, Forbes looks to continue her education in graduate school.
