Prep: Excelled in lacrosse, field hockey and swimming at South River... all-county first team selection from 2007-2010 in lacrosse and from 2006-2009 for field hockey...First Team All-Met Baltimore Sun/Washington Post for three years in lacrosse and two years in field hockey...named Athlete of the Year in 2009 for lacrosse...All-Tewaarton team and Under Armour All-American...named Athlete of the Year by the Annapolis Capital and the Baltimore Sun in 2010...also named Player of the Year by the Annapolis Capital, Baltimore Sun and Washington Post in 2010...First Team All-Met Examiner in field hockey in 2007... named Player of the Year by Capital, Baltimore Sun and the Washington Post multiple years for field hockey...Griffin also played for Maryland United for two years.

Personal: Born April 24, 1992...daughter of Gene Griffin...graduated with a 4.0 from high school...came to Maryland because "close to home, amazing coaches and teammates and a great academic school"...biggest advice to youngsters is that there's always room for improvement...undecided on major.
