COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland sophomore Allison Comito (Glen Head, N.Y.) has earned this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week after her performance against seventh-ranked Georgetown in Saturday's NCAA quarterfinal game. It marked Comito's second honor this season.

The New York native totaled a career-high seven goals on seven shots, extending her point total to 13 against the Hoyas this season. In the regular-season meeting on April 21, Comito scored a then-career-high six goals on six shots to lead the Terps to a 21-9 win.

Comito is third on the team in scoring with 76 points, including 51 goals and 25 assists. Her 51 goals rank her second behind sophomore Jen Adams' 63.

Comito and the Terps travel to Baltimore, Md., this weekend to participate in the school's 10th consecutive NCAA final four weekend. The Terps meet Penn State on Friday at 6 p.m. in the first national semifinal. Duke and Virginia meet in the other national semifinal at 8:30, and the championship game is set for 3 p.m. on Sunday.
