As a Senior in 2013: Had four saves in season opener against Richmond (2/10)... added a season high 11 saves against Syracuse (2/17)... Named ACC Defensive Play of the Week (2/19)... earned seven saves to help top Duke 15-6 (2/24)... had 12 saves against Hofstra (3/3)... had a career-high 14 saves against Penn State (3/9)... has 71 saves on the season (as of 3/30).

As a Junior in 2012:Appeared in five games...tallied three saves against Towson (3/27)...allowed 13 goals on 26 shots in 2012.

As a Sophomore in 2011: Saw action in Maryland wins against Delaware (2/16), George Mason (3/8), Stony Brook (3/22), Towson (3/29), Virginia Tech (4/16) and Navy (5/14)...played for nearly 12 minutes against the Hens, surrendering three goals and making a three saves....racked up a combined five saves against Mason and Stony Brook while surrendering four goals...made two saves while giving up one goal against Virginia Tech...registered three saves in NCAA tournament action against the Midshipmen.

As a Freshman in 2010: Added depth at the goalie position for the national champion Terps...played in a total of eight matches...racked up eight ground balls and 12 saves...surrendered only six goals for a .667 save percentage...made a career-high three saves in her college debut against Richmond (2/14)...also added two saves each versus New Hampshire, Stanford and UMass. Personal:Katherine Howard was born Feb. 11, 1991...daughter of Steve Howard and Heidi Howard ... has one twin sister, Allison...participated in SGA, Model UN, Salt Street Foundation and Habitat for Humanity...chose Maryland because it "was close to home with an amazing campus"...craziest ambition is to travel to every continent...majoring in hearing and speech sciences.
