Maryland Standout Receives Honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Maryland junior Jen Adams has been named the ACC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week after leading the top-ranked Terrapins to three wins this past week, including two victories over ranked opponents.

The Marino, Australia native turned in an impressive week as she recorded 19 points with her 15 goals and three assists in the Terps' three games last week. She opened the week by netting five goals and assisting on another in Maryland's 17-4 victory at Towson on Tuesday. Adams followed that performance two days later with four goals in the Terps' 19-4 win over tenth-ranked Penn State in College Park, Md. On Sunday, the junior turned in her top performance of the week in Maryland's 24-11 victory at 16th-ranked Syracuse with six goals and two assists.

On the year, Adams leads the nation in scoring with 21 goals and six assists for a total of 27 points.
