Lacrosse's Carney, Kahoe and Brodsky named to U.S. Developmental Team

August 6, 1998

Denise Wescott, the Chair of the United States Women's Lacrosse Association selection committee and head coach at Delaware, announced the United States Developmental Squad. The Developmental Squad is designed to support the growth not only of the United States program but also individuals who have shown promise in their lacrosse ability.

Current Maryland Terrapins, freshman Quinn Carney and sophomore Alex Kahoe, and former Terp goalkeeper Jamie Brodsky, have been selected to the Developmental Squad. Kahoe played a key role in this year's NCAA Championship game, recording 21 saves which ties her for second in the NCAA record book (most saves, championship round). Carney finished her freshman campaign in superb fashion, charting 41 points which placed her fourth on the team.
