College Park, Md. - Maryland's Jen Adams (Marino, Australia) has been named the ACC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the second week in a row after a nine-point outing against ACC rival Virginia on March 14. Adams netted four goals and added five assists in Maryland's 17-8 win over the Cavs.
Adams also received the conference honor for the week of March 6-12 for her 18-point effort in a three-win week for the Terps. The junior attacker scored 15 goals and added three assists in wins over unranked Towson (17-4), then- No. 10 Penn State (19-4), and then-No. 16 Syracuse (24-11). Adams leads the nation in scoring with 36 points (25 goals, 11 assists) six games into the season.
The ACC Lacrosse Player of the Week was a clean sweep for Maryland last week, with Adams earning ACC Women's Player of the Week honors and Terp Andrew "Buggs" Combs taking Men's Player of the Week honors. Combs had three goals in each of Maryland's wins over ranked teams last week.
