COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Freshman goalkeeper Brittany Dipper was named and Rookie of the Week after an impressive showing at the 2009 ACC Tournament.

Dipper was named to the ACC Championship All-Tournament team after notching double-digit save performances against both Virginia and Duke. Dipper led the Terps with a career-high 12 saves and added two ground balls as Maryland topped Virginia 15-7 in the semifinals. Dipper's ten saves proved to be a difference-maker as the Terps narrowly topped Duke, 12-11, in the title game. The freshman keeper hails from Clarksboro, N.J. and has played in all of Maryland's games in 2009, starting 16 of 18 and notching 91 saves.
