Current and Former Terps Land on U.S. Senior Roster

Former Terps Caitlyn McFadden, Brittany Poist and Acacia Walker join current Maryland midfielder Katie Schwarzmann on the 36-player roster for the 2011-12 U.S. women's national senior team, announced after the conclusion of tryouts last weekend.

Walker, the most veteran player on this year's roster, has been a member of the national team since 2003. McFadden was the youngest player on the 2009 FIL World Cup championship squad and has suited up for the Red, White and Blue since 2008. Poist and Schwarzmann are entering their second season with the U.S.

This team will lay the foundation for the 2013 team that will compete in the 2013 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Cup in Oshawa, Ontario.
