Women's Lacrosse Standout Earns ACC Player of the Week Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland sophomore attack Quinn Carney (Flemington, N.J.) and North Carolina's Debbie Castine were named Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week Wednesday after leading their respective teams to victory last week.

Carney recorded seven goals and one assist in Maryland's two wins against No. 20-ranked Brown and No. 12-ranked Old Dominion. The Terrapin attacker also totaled six ground balls, four caused turnovers and one draw control during the two-game week. Her five goals she posted against Brown marked a career-high. She has recorded at least one point in all nine games this season, and is the second-leading scorer on the Terp squad with 35 points.
