Last Maryland Win...Maryland defeated the Owls twice last season--defeating them 14-4 in the regular season, and posting a 9-6 win in the 1997 national semifinals.

THE LAST MEETING
Vanderbilt...Junior Sascha Newmarch scored four goals while Cathy Nelson recorded two, and senior Sarah Forbes and freshman Kristin Sommar each added two as the Terps handed the Commodores a 14-1 loss. Temple...In the first meeting, Cathy Nelson scored four goals while Ginette Chelius, Sarah Forbes, Christie Jenkins and Sascha Newmarch all added two apiece to lead the Terps to a 14-4 win. At the NCAA championship, Maryland was led by Forbes, Nelson and Jenkins who each scored two goals to propell the Terps to a 9-6 win and a berth in the championship game.

KAHOE TOUGH IN GOAL
Sophomore goalie Alex Kahoe, the 1997 ACC co-Rookie and Goalkeeper of the Year, has started in all seven of Maryland's games. She has allowed 44 goals in 397 minutes played (.659 save percentage) and is allowing 6.65 goals a game. She has posted double-figure saves in five of the Terps' seven games, including a career-high 19 saves versus Virginia on March 22.

NELSON CLIMBING THE ASSIST LADDER
Senior attack Cathy Nelson has notched 61 career assists in her 65-game career, and is now in sixth place in the Maryland career record books. Nelson is two shy of moving into fifth place behind leader Kelly Amonte, Judy Dougherty, Anysia Fedec and Karen MacCrate, respectively. Nelson scored a season-high four assists versus Syracuse.

MARCHIN' UP
Senior midfielder Sascha Newmarch tied her career-high best with four goals against Old Dominion last Saturday, moving her into ninth place in the Maryland career record books. She now has 114 career goals. Kelly Amonte hold the all-time goal record with 187.

THE AUSTRALIAN CONNECTION
Maryland's Australian duo of Sascha Newmarch and Jen Adams have combined for 23 goals and 17 assists, and rank as the Terps' top and fourth-leading scorers, respectively, this season. Newmarch tied her career-best with four goals against Old Dominion on March 28. She has scored two hat tricks so far this season (vs. Syracuse and Harvard) while Adams scored a career-high four goals in the Terps' 21-7 win over Syracuse on March 14.

TERPS TRAVEL TO JAMES MADISON
Following the back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday, the Terps travel to James Madison on Saturday, April 4, for a 2 p.m. contest. The Terps return home on April 15 to host Georgetown at 7 p.m.

TERPS BY THE NUMBERS
.919 Maryland's winning percentage during the decade of the 90's. The Terps have a record of 114-10 since the beginning of the 1990 season, and are the only team in Division I Women's Lacrosse to have won at least 90 percent of its games.
