Cox Earns National and Conference Player of the Week Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Maryland's Delia Cox was named this week's Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week and Inside Lacrosse's National Player of the Week for leading the Terps to a 14-7 win over No. 6 North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Cox shared the ACC honor with Duke's Katie Chrest who scored seven goals in a win over Loyola.

The junior midfielder scored four goals and registered one assist as ninth-ranked Maryland downed No. 6 North Carolina, 14-7. The Newbury, Mass., native also recorded three ground balls and one draw control as well as a season-high five points.

Cox is second on the team in goals with 27 and fourth on the team in points with 30.

Cox joins Greta Sommers as Terps to have earned ACC Player of the Week honors this season.
