A senior with tremendous athletic ability and quickness, Tiffany Brown inherits the Terps' point guard position for a third straight season … could see more time as a shooting guard with the addition of freshman Vicki Brick to the lineup ... second in the ACC in assists during 1998-99 league contests ... would have led the ACC and ranked ninth nationally were it not for missing the season's first eight games ... heralded assist-maker who is Maryland's all-time leading 3-point shooter … held Terp career 3-point records after just her sophomore season ... should continue climbing all-time ACC charts this season ... floor leadership characteristics include a good understanding of the game, and good vision.

1998-99

Brown played in 24 of 28 games last season, and started 21 … has appeared in 52 of 56 games during a two-year career … lists 1-2 among Terps' single season 3-point field goals with a record 48 as a freshman, and 36 as a sophomore … tied the career mark for 3FGs at Wake Forest last season, and netted three treys to break the mark, at Cole against No. 21 Clemson … played 40 minutes in seven games, including a 21-point, seven-rebound effort vs. No. 10 NC State … matched her own Terp record with six 3FGs against the Wolfpack … three nights later, eclipsed her record with seven 3FGs while posting a career high 26 points on 7-of-11 shooting in 84-62 upset win over No. 7 North Carolina … games vs. NC State and North Carolina were the seventh and eighth times she led the Terps in scoring in her career … has scored 20 points or more on five occasions … set a personal-best eight assists against Harvard, and twice matched her then-career high with four steals (four times as a freshman, also).

1996-97
Brown was an ACC All-Freshman team selection, playing in all 28 games and starting 10 ... was the team's fifth-leading scorer with an 8.6 points per game average, and led the Terps in scoring six times ... was second on the team in assists with 2.4 per game ... college debut came against No. 15 Penn State, with all 12 points coming from behind the three-point line on 4-of-7 shooting ... grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds in her Cole Field House debut, against Morgan State ... selected to the all-tournament team at the Dial Classic after averaging 11.5 points and three rebounds in games against Radford and Southwest Texas State ... led Maryland in scoring six times as a freshman including a record six treys and then-career-high 24 points vs. Georgia Tech … registered the first of three 20-plus point games against Iona (22 points) ... scored 21 on the road against No. 5-ranked North Carolina … converted 4-of-7 3FGs at Duke to break Maryland's single season record, and finished the season with 48 … broke teammate Kelley Gibson's record of 84 3-point attempts in a season with 134 ... was a two-time ACC Rookie of the Week, and finished fourth in the ACC with a .358 3-point field goal percentage.
