Team Records and Series Notes

  • Maryland falls to 22-5 on the season and 13-3 in the ACC. Duke remained perfect in conference play at 16-0 and improved to 26-1 overall.
  • The Blue Devils now lead the all-time series 40-39, and have taken both games this season.
  • The Terps suffered their first home loss of the season, and are now 12-1 at Comcast in the 2012-13 campaign.

  • Starting lineup: Tianna Hawkins, Alyssa Thomas, Alicia DeVaughn, Katie Rutan
  • Maryland outrebounded the Blue Devils 34-33 and has now outrebounded every opponent this season, and 60 of the last 63 dating back to the beginning of the 2011-12 season.
  • The Terps bested Duke on the offensive glass, nabbing 18 offensive rebounds.
  • A crowd of 15,853 was the largest the Terrapins have playing in front of this season, home or away, and was the seventh-largest in ACC history.
  • Today's game marks the third annual Team Tyler Game for leukemia awareness.

    Individual Game Notes

  • Tianna Hawkins once again led Terrapins in scoring with 16, the 16th time this season Hawkins. The senior also grabbed nine boards, one shy of her 13th double-double.
  • Alyssa Thomas dished out six assists and added 14 points for Maryland, going 4-for-6 in the second half.
