The Terps are now 9-5 all-time against the Hurricanes and snap a four-game losing streak to Miami.
With the win, the Terps are one win shy of 150 all-time victories at Comcast Center. Maryland holds an all-time mark of 149-29 at Comcast Center.

Starting line-up: Alicia DeVaughn, Tianna Hawkins, Alyssa Thomas
Leading by six at halftime (37-31), the Terps outscored the Hurricanes 47-31 in the second half and 38-18 in the paint. Maryland's defense held Miami to 29 percent shooting in the second frame.
The Terps got 27 second-chance points off of 22 offensive rebounds.
Maryland shared the ball well with 17 assists compared to 12 turnovers for a 1.42 assist-to-turnover ratio. Miami had eight assists and 14 turnovers for a 0.57 assists-to-turnovers.
As the nation's leading rebounding team, the Terps continued their strong play on the glass. Maryland outrebounded Miami, 49-36.
Maryland had four players in double figures led by Chole Pavlech (20). Tianna Hawkins and Alyssa Thomas had 18. Malina Howard finished with 10 points.
Individual Game Notes
Tianna Hawkins finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, after having only one point at halftime. It is Hawkins eighth double-double of the season, which is tied for the team lead with Alyssa Thomas. With her 11 rebounds, Hawkins surpassed 900 career rebounds. Hawkins has 906 career rebounds, which sixth in program history.
Chloe Pavlech scored a personal-best 20 points. Her previous personal best came against Connecticut with 10 points.
Alyssa Thomas finished with 18 points. It is her 12th double-figure scoring effort of the season and 71st of her career.
