ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Maryland concluded its second stop of the 2013 Coaches Caravan Thursday evening on the Catherine Marie Yacht in Annapolis. Director of Athletics Kevin Anderson was joined by football coach Randy Edsall, field hockey coach Missy Meharg and soccer coach Sasho Cirvoski. The Terps visited with fans, took photos and signed autographs for the Maryland supporters on board this grand and elegant yacht.

"It's a great night to be a Terp," said Anderson, whose opening remarks discussed the vital role that each member of the Terrapin Club has in the overall success of our student-athletes at the University of Maryland. "We are so very appreciative of your support all year long. Tonight, we celebrate and share in the success of our very talented student-athletes who bring a great sense of pride to our university and community."

Maryland basketball color analyst Chris Knoche hosted the event, which included the aforementioned opening remarks from Anderson and each coach, as well as highlights from the 2012-13 seasons. Knoche then opened it for questions, with fans asking a myriad of topics, which included an outlook on the upcoming season and the anticipated transition to the Big Ten Conference in 2014.

"The first two visits to Ocean City and Annapolis have been a great opportunity to spread our brand and continue to share our Maryland Pride throughout our state," Edsall said.

Joining Edsall were a pair of Maryland's longest tenured coaches in Meharg and Cirvoski, who each discussed their special bond with Maryland - a campus they have called home for more than two decades.

"Maryland is a wonderful place," said Meharg, who completed her 25th season with the Terps last year. "We are so proud of the cultural that we have established here as an athletic department and university. It makes everything very worth-while when you get to the opportunity to be around our students-athletes every day. I`d like to recognize a member of our team, Janessa Pope, who graduated last Sunday and is here tonight to share her wonderful story."

Cirvoski who also shared that Maryland is his "dream job" agreed.

"Your support is so crucial for our program's success," explained Cirvoski, who will enter his 21st season in College Park. "If each Terrapin member recruits one person, we can double our membership. We are proud to be a Terp and our success is thanks to your support and commitment to our athletic department."

The 2013 Coaches Caravan next stop is in Baltimore on Wednesday, May 29 in Baltimore on the Spirit of Baltimore Yacht, featuring Anderson, Cirvoski, Brenda Frese and Mark Turgeon. To get onboard with the Terps, click here for the Baltimore Coaches Caravan RSVP Form.
