COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland men’s basketball team has finalized its 2013-14 broadcast schedule. Slated to be featured in 19 nationally televised games, the Terrapins’ complete schedule is available online at umterps.com.
The 2013-14 schedule features an exciting bill of nine home Atlantic Coast Conference contests, as it welcomes newcomers Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Syracuse to the Comcast Center.
The Terrapins open their regular season nationally televised on ESPN2 as they take on UConn at 6:30 pm in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Last season, Maryland played Kentucky in front of a capacity crowd at the Barclays Center.
"We're looking forward to returning to Barclays Center to play a quality opponent in Connecticut," said head coach Mark Turgeon. "This will be a great experience for our players and fans."
Following a trip to St. Thomas for the Paradise Jam and then a home contest against Morgan State, the Terps will travel to Ohio State on December 5 (ESPN2) for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
Maryland opens home conference play against Notre Dame on January 16 at 7:00 pm (ESPN2), and also welcomes Pitt to the Comcast Center for the first time in ACC play on January 25 (ESPN) at 6:00 pm (ESPN).
The Terps then embark on a challenging road schedule featuring North Carolina and Duke (ESPN/2) to begin February, but finish the regular season schedule with four-of-five home games. Among those home contests are a bout with Syracuse on ESPN’s Big Monday on February 24 at 7:00 pm and a game against Virginia on March 9 at 12:00 pm on CBS.
