Tipping Off: Maryland fell to 17-15 overall while North Carolina improved to 28-4 ... the eight-seed has beaten the one-seed just twice in ACC Tournament history (Maryland over NC State in 1989; NC State over Duke in 1997) ... Combined with his 25-point performance against Wake Forest on Thursday, Stoglin scored 55 in the two games, marking the most points in a two-game span by a Maryland player in the ACC Tournament since John Gilchrist had 30 in the 2004 semifinal vs. NC State and 26 in the final vs. Duke.

Mosley Reaches 1,100: Sean Mosley scored 10 points and surpassed 1,100 in his career. The senior has 1,103, which ranks 43rd in school history. Mosley is one of just eight players in school history to have at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 200 assists and 120 steals in a career.

Tidbits: Maryland used a starting lineup of Nick Faust, Terrell Stoglin, Sean Mosley, James Padgett and Alex Len for the second straight game and third time this season ... they're 1-2 with those starters ... Len had multiple blocks for the 14th time in 22 games, finishing with two ... Ashton Pankey had a team-high eight rebounds and made all three of his field goal attempts.
