'Hoops for Heroes' Program Earns Award

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate completed its first season with the "Hoops for Heroes" program in conjunction with the Maryland men's basketball team.

The real estate team donated $100 to the USO of Metropolitan Washington for each 3-pointer scored by the Terps during 2010-11 regular season. A cumulative contribution of $14,100 was presented at the Terps final home game.

In addition to the promotion, a multi-level fully integrated marketing campaign surrounded the team and "Hoops for Heroes". The program recently helped the Creig Northrop Team earn the Maryland Achievement of Excellence (MAX) award for outstanding multi-media campaign presented by the Home Builders Association of Maryland (HBAM).

The MAX award honors the best in sales and marketing for the building industry, and recognizes leaders who stand out in the crowd. Additional awards received by the Creig Northrop Team include: Best Associate Logo; Outstanding Brochure; Outstanding Color Print Ad; Outstanding Use of Direct Mail; Outstanding Use of Internet; and Outstanding Use of Technology.
