COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland will play host to Illinois on Tuesday, Nov. 29 in the 13th annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge presented by Dick's Sporting Goods, the leagues announced Tuesday.

The Terrapins and Fighting Illini will met for the fourth time in the 13-year history of the series, with Maryland having won the previous three matchups. The Terps are 9-3 all-time in the Challenge, including six straight victories.

Maryland won at Penn State, 62-39, in last season's matchup.

"We're excited about playing Illinois in this event," said Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon. "I have a ton of respect for Coach [Bruce] Weber. We coached against each other in the Missouri Valley Conference. His teams play a great system and are always prepared. It should be a great game."

The ACC has won 10 of the first 12 Challenges, with the Big Ten having won the last two by a 6-5 margin.

All 12 games in this year's Challenge will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.
