The Maryland women’s tennis team continues its fall season at the Wake Forest Invitational this weekend in Winston-Salem, N.C.
The Terrapins will compete against players from 12 schools, including Charlotte, Davidson, Richmond and UNC Greensboro. Head coach Daria Panova and her squad will also get an early look at ACC rival Wake Forest.
After going undefeated in singles at the Cissie Leary Invite, Olga Bredikhina will try to continue her good run of form in the A bracket. The sophomore faces Winthrop’s Alice Garcia in the first round on Friday.
Freshman Olivia Gaudreault rounds out the Terps’ participants in singles. The Maryland native plays Winthrop’s Caitin Cridland in the first round of the C singles draw.
The Terrapins will also feature in the doubles competition. The Bredikhina sisters will team up to compete in A doubles, while Gaistruk and Gaudreault will feature in the B doubles bracket.
