ADA/ACCESIBILITY
The XFINITY Center is designed with parking, power assisted doors, restrooms, concessions, water fountains, ATMs, closed captioning and seating areas accessible to guests with disabilities.

ADA TICKET FRAUD
Ticket fraud includes, but is not limited to, the misrepresentation of a disability. Maryland Athletics reserves the right to take appropriate action regarding misrepresentation, which may result in relocation, revocation of tickets, or ejection.

ALCOHOL POLICY
Any attempt to bring alcohol into the arena will be considered a violation of facility regulations and may result in the guest being denied admittance, ejected, arrested, and/or tickets being revoked.

ANIMALS
Animals are not permitted inside XFINITY Center, with the exception of service animals and service animals-in-training for guests with disabilities.

ATMs
There is a Capital One Bank automated teller machine (ATM) located on the Plaza Level (2nd level) to the right of the Terrapin Team Shop.

BAG SEARCH
All bags are subject to search upon entry and are subject to additional searches within the arena. Backpacks and bags larger than 8" x 11" x 12" are prohibited. Guests are encouraged to return unauthorized items to their vehicles. The University of Maryland cannot safeguard items which are not permitted into the stadium. Violators of the rules or any State or City laws will be refused admission or asked to leave. Please refer to PROHIBITED ITEMS for more information.

BANNERS, SIGNS, & FLAGS
Signs must be handheld, event-related, in good taste, and cannot obstruct another guest's view. They may not contain commercial messages, logos, or political endorsements and may not be hung on the arena structure. Signs or flags on sticks or poles are not permitted. Maryland Athletics reserves the right to confiscate signs that are in violation of arena policy.

BOTTLES & CANS
Bottles, cans, and other beverage containers may not be brought into XFINITY Center. Searches are conducted at the gates to prevent these and other prohibited items from entering the arena. Please refer to PROHIBITED ITEMS for more information. Exceptions will be made for those with medical requirements or special needs.

BROADCAST
Television and radio broadcast information is available via www.umterps.com.

CAMERAS
Still cameras may be used at any time provided that their use does not interfere with other guests' ability to enjoy the game day experience. However, flash photography is not permitted as it may disrupt play. The use of video cameras and video capable cell phones is prohibited and these items will not be permitted inside of XFINITY Center.

CELLULAR PHONES
The use of cellular phones is permitted inside of XFINITY Center, provided that their use does not interfere with another guests' ability to enjoy the game day experience.

CHILDREN'S TICKET POLICY
Children two (2) years of age and under do not need a ticket for admission; however, they must be seated in the lap of a parent or guardian and not interfere with the sight line of other patrons.

COMPLIMENTS, COMPLAINTS, & COMMENTS
Guests with a compliment, complaint, or comment may share it, in person, at the Fan Assistance located at the top of Section 106 inside of XFINITY Center. Written feedback may be shared via our website by clicking here.

Concession stands are located throughout XFINITY Center on the Plaza Level (2nd level) and Concourse Level (3rd level). For your convenience, all concession stands at XFINITY Center accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.

ELECTRONIC TICKET SCANNING
All tickets will be electronically scanned in order to verify authenticity. Tickets which have been scanned upon entry cannot be used by another guest.

ELEVATORS
Elevators are located on the east side of XFINITY Center that provide access to the Ground, Plaza (2nd Level), and Concourse (3rd Level) Levels. An additional elevator near Gate F provides access between the Plaza (2nd Level) and Concourse (3rd Level) Levels.

EMERGENCIES
Should you need immediate assistance, please notify the nearest usher, security personnel, police officer, or visit First Aid behind Section 209 or Fan Assistance at the top of Section 106.
In the event of an arena emergency pertinent information regarding the emergency situation and evacuation procedures will be provided over the public address system and on stadium video boards.

  • Gate A (South Plaza Gate): Southeast corner atop the grand staircase (Main Public Entrance).
  • Gate B (North Plaza Gate): Northeast corner atop the staircase.
  • Gate C (South Ground Gate): Southeast corner on the Ground Level.
  • Gate D (North Ground Gate): Northeast corner on the Ground Level.
  • Gate E (Garage Concourse Gate): Southwest corner adjacent to the Terrapin Trail Parking Garage.
  • Gate F (Student Concourse Gate): Northwest corner.

Maryland Basketball Player Guest Entrance

  • Gate A (South Plaza Gate): Southeast corner atop the grand staircase (Entrance on the left).

ESCALATORS
Escalators are located on the East end of the Plaza Level (2nd Level) of XFINITY Center inside of the entrances; more specifically, behind Sections 107, 108, 207, & 208. Escalators run between the Plaza (2nd Level) and Concourse (3rd Level) Levels.

FAMILY RESTROOMS
Each of the 37 restrooms located conveniently throughout XFINITY Center are accessible to guests with small children and equipped with baby-changing tables. Two (2) private, family restrooms located at the top of Sections 105 and 110 on the Plaza Level (2nd Level) have been designated for the exclusive use of guests with small children and guests with disabilities.

FAN ASSISTANCE
The Fan Assistance is located at the top of Section 106 inside of XFINITY Center to assist fans with questions, problems, or concerns.

FAN CODE OF CONDUCT
The Terrapins are committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all fans, both in the arena and in the parking lots. We want all fans attending our games to enjoy the experience in a responsible fashion.

Event patrons are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guest and/or persons using their tickets. Even if the season ticket holders give away or sell their tickets to the game, the account holder is accountable for the actions of those using the tickets. Accounts can be forfeited partially or entirely for violations of the Code of Conduct.

Fans who demonstrate inappropriate and disruptive behavior, including the following, are subject to ejection and season ticket holders risk losing their season ticket account and/or parking privileges for:

  • Excessive consumption of alcohol
  • Obscene, offensive or abusive language and actions
  • Fighting, or otherwise dangerous, abusive or profane behavior
  • Interfering with other guests ability to see the game
  • Smoking inside of XFINITY Center
  • Scalping or other improper resale of tickets
  • Interfering with security procedures
  • Interfering with the process of the game or going onto the court
  • Throwing any objects onto the court or in the arena
  • Any action warranting ejection and/or confiscation of game tickets by police or arena security

FIRST AID
First Aid is located in the loading dock of XFINITY Center. EMTs and ambulances are all available during Terrapin Basketball games. If needed, please contact the nearest usher, arena security personnel, or police officer for assistance.

GATE OPENING TIMES
XFINITY Center gates open one hour prior to the start of the scheduled game time for the general public and for students. Gate opening times for all other events taking place at the XFINITY Center are determined on an individual basis. GROUP TICKETS

GUEST’S WITH DISABILITIES

Closed captioning of the game announcements will be available on four ribbon boards on the corners of the arena.

RESTROOMS
Each of the 37 restrooms located conveniently throughout XFINITY Center is ADA compliant and accessible to our guests with disabilities. However, for the comfort of our disabled guests, four (4) private bathrooms have been designated exclusively for their use:

  • At the top of Sections 105 and 110 on the Plaza Level (2nd level).
  • Behind Sections 122 and 217 on the Concourse Level (3rd level).

PARKING
Parking for guests with disabilities is available at XFINITY Center in Lot 4B and inside of the Terrapin Trail Parking Garage to any guest with a disabled placard.  Additional information is available by referring to the University of Maryland Transportation website at www.transportation.umd.edu or by calling the Department of Transportation Services directly at (301) 314-PARK.

SEATING
Disabled seating is available at three locations throughout XFINITY Center:

  • At the top of Sections 109 and 110 on the Plaza Level (2nd Level) on the Northeast side of XFINITY Center
  • At the top of Sections 105 and 106 on the Plaza Level (2nd Level) on the Southeast side of XFINITY Center
  • At the bottom of Section 107 on the East side of XFINITY Center*

*This seating area is accessible by entering XFINITY Center through Gate C at the Southeast corner on the Ground Level and proceeding inside to the third door on the left (marked "To Arena/Event Level). A wheelchair ramp is available at this location.

To obtain seating in any of these three (3) areas, guests must exchange their tickets for tickets enabling them to sit in these areas at the Terrapin Ticket Office, located inside the South Plaza Gate on the Plaza Level (2nd Level) at the Southeast corner of the arena. Guests with disabilities are permitted one (1) guest each in these locations.

HERITAGE HALL
Heritage Hall, located on the East side of XFINITY Center on the Plaza level (2nd Level), is a multi-purpose room (capacity 200 seated) equipped to host banquets, press conferences, meetings and serve as a pre-game restaurant suite overlooking the competition arena. For rental information, please call the Maryland Athletics Facilities, Operations & Events Office at (301) 314-7126.

LOST & FOUND
Lost items may be turned-in to any Maryland Guest Services Representative, usher, or to Fan Assistance at the top of Section 106. Guests needing to claim or report lost items during an event should also visit the Fan Assistance Center. Guests inquiring about lost items at previous events should call the Maryland Athletics Facilities, Operations & Events office at (301) 314-7126. Items lost at prior games are held in a secured area for 30 days and are then either disposed of or donated to an appropriate charitable organization. Maryland Athletics is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.

LOST CHILDREN & GUESTS
Lost children and Guests should be taken to Fan Assistance at the top of Section 106. Parents looking for a lost child should contact the nearest usher or security personnel and then go to the Fan Assistance.

M CLUB
The M Club Foundation exists within the University of Maryland Athletic Department to provide former Terrapin athletic letter winners the opportunity to continue to be involved in Maryland Athletics once their eligibility has expired. There are no better ambassadors for Maryland Athletics than those who have competed while wearing the Terrapin colors. The M Club provides these former student athletes with the avenue to give back to the institution that they represented so well.

MASCOT APPEARANCES
Guests have the opportunity to book Testudo for appearances at a birthday party, company party, grand opening, or other function. For more information on having Testudo appear at your events contact Jamie Little.

MEDIA ENTRANCE
The entrance for the media is located on the South side of XFINITY Center via Gate C. Upon entering, bags will be inspected and tagged accordingly.

MEDIA WILL CALL
Media Will Call is located outside of the South Ground Gate (Gate C) at the Southeast corner of the arena on the Ground Level. MERCHANDISE
During events at the XFINITY Center, merchandise is available at the Terrapin Team Shop located on the Plaza Level (2nd Level) of XFINITY Center inside of the main entrances, as well as at two (2) other novelty stands located around the Concourse Level (3rd Level). NATIONAL ANTHEM

ON-COURT ACCESS
Only authorized and properly credentialed personnel will be permitted on the XFINITY Center floor before, during, or after a game. Any unauthorized person going onto the floor will be removed from the arena and subject to arrest.

PARKING
Parking lots around the XFINITY Center are free for women’s basketball games.  For more information, please refer to the University of Maryland Transportation website at www.transportation.umd.edu or call them directly at (301) 314-PARK.

PEP BAND
The Maryland Pep Band supports Men's and Women's Basketball at all home games and throughout the Big Ten and NCAA Tournaments.

PLAYER GUEST WILL CALL
Will Call for Player Guests is located on the inside left of the first set of doors at the Southeast corner of the XFINITY Center, atop the Grand Staircase at Gate A. Identification is required to pick up tickets left at the Player Guest Will Call window. PROGRAMS
The Maryland Terrapins Women's Basketball Team has programs available for purchase at XFINITY Center. Programs are on sale at several locations around the arena before and during games.

The Big Ten promotes good sportsmanship by student-athletes, coaches and spectators. We request your cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner. Profanity, racial or sexist comments or other intimidating actions directed at officials, student-athletes, coaches or team representatives will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site of competition. Out of concern for the safety of our guests and employees, the following is prohibited. All persons and their belongings are subject to search. Guests are encouraged to return unauthorized items to their vehicles. The University of Maryland cannot safeguard items which are not permitted into the arena. Violators of the arena policy or any State, County, or Municipal laws will be refused admission or asked to leave. This policy is in effect for all Guests who visit XFINITY Center.

Disruptive behavior is not accepted at Maryland Athletics events. Disruptive behavior constitutes actions that diminish other fans ability to enjoy the game day atmosphere including but not limited to: threats, threatening behavior, interfering with other guests' ability to see the game and throwing objects. These actions or any other actions deemed disruptive by arena staff will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the arena and other potential consequences include ticket suspension, ticket revocation, arrest and prosecution.

PROMOTIONS
Promotional items have individual restrictions and give away dates are subject to change without prior notice. Please remember that a game ticket does not ensure or entitle the holder to a promotional item on that date and that only one item will be distributed per person. Please be considerate of other guests by taking only one promotional item.

PUBLIC ADDRESS
No appeals will be made over the public address system. Requests of an emergency nature should be addressed to the nearest usher, security personnel, or police officer.

RADIOS & TELEVISIONS
Handheld radios and televisions are permitted inside of XFINITY Center as long as they are not larger than 8" x 11" x 12" and do not distract from the enjoyment of other guests. For the comfort of those seated around you, headphones are required.

RE-ENTRY
Guests may not exit and re-enter the arena using the same ticket. However, in case of an emergency, a guest may receive a signature on their ticket from a gate supervisor, which will permit a guest to re-enter the arena. Guests that leave the arena, at any time, without the signature from a gate supervisor, will not be permitted to re-enter the arena with the same ticket.

The Spirit Squad is an integral part of the pageantry and excitement of Maryland Athletics. There are 20 Suites at XFINITY Center. They are located along both sidelines of the arena:

  • Suites 1-10 are located at the top of sections 112-116 on the North side of the Plaza Level (2nd Level).
  • Suites 11-20 are located at the top of sections 125, 126, 101, and 102 on the South side of the Plaza Level (2nd Level).

TERP HOSTS
Terp Hosts are a guest relations staff that will work throughout XFINITY Center each basketball game day. This staff is trained to conduct stadium security, crowd control and of course The Maryland Way. The Maryland Way is about sportsmanship in the stands as well as on the court. Maryland athletics promotes an atmosphere where fans, home and visiting, interact in a positive, thoughtful and friendly way. Maryland athletics has developed a work force called Terp Hosts to prioritize guest relations on basketball game day. Terp Hosts will be positioned strategically throughout the arena to welcome fans to each game and provide assistance in helping all of our guests have the most enjoyable experience possible.

TERRAPIN CLUB SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Terrapin Club Scholarship Fund is composed of alumni, friends and fans of University of Maryland Athletics. Contributions provide athletic scholarship support to our over 500 student athletes annually. TESTUDO
Dr. H.C. "Curly" Byrd, the former football coach who later became University President, recommended the Diamondback turtle as Maryland's mascot in1932 in response to the student newspaper's search for an "official" leader. The class of 1933 sponsored as its graduation gift the permanent, bronzed terrapin that watches over McKeldin Mall to this day. Identical bronzed Terrapins exist on the Byrd Stadium field and at the entrance to XFINITY Center.

ZERO WASTE
Maryland Athletics, Dining Services, Facilities Management and the Office of Sustainability is embarking on an ambitious and innovative recycling program to transform XFINITY Center into a Zero Waste facility by the year 2016. Maryland’s Drive to Zero Waste, which refers to diverting 90% of trash from the landfill by recycling and composting, is a bold endeavor that will require a campus-wide commitment and participation from all of the Terp Nation. Zero Waste stations for recycling and composting will be available throughout the arena and all items purchased inside the arena will be either recyclable or compostable to achieve Zero Waste. Please join the University of Maryland in creating a greener University.
