Kyle George joins the staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2005 season. He is currently working towards his BA in kinesiology and is set to graduate from the University of Maryland in December, 2004. He received An A.S. from Wallace State Junior College (Alabama) in May of 2001 and for Maryland from 2001-03 before being drafted in the 43rd round by the Baltimore Orioles (2003).

Before Maryland, George played for the Wallace State baseball team and was the team captain in 2000-01. He was a major contributor on the Wallace State team that captured the Division 1 Alabama State championship and was a Division 1 All-Region selection as a utility infielder in 2000.

In 2002, George worked as a counselor at University of Maryland baseball camps, working with the 4-13 age group and conducting individual skill sessions. This past year, George played in the Independent Frontier Baseball League as a member of the Windy City Thunderbolts.
