International Experience: Played in 2010 Junior High Performance...Pennsylvania team won title...Participated in the USA Futures Program from 2005-09, competing in the National Field Hockey Festival from 2006-08...part of the National Futures Championship club in 2006, 2007 and 2009 and an alternate in 2008...her 2009 U-19 NFC team won the Barbara Longstreth Sportsmanship Award...played club hockey with East Coast Field Hockey, gaining exposure on tours of Germany and Barbados...also participated in the Junior Olympics in 2007...trained and played for Club San Andres in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

As a senior in 2012: Saw action in five of the Terps' games and started in one...notched an assist on a dish to Puckett in Terps' win over #19 UMass (Sept. 8)...received team's Kateri Simon Award, along with Colleen Gulick, as the athlete that has persevered in times of adversity and has displayed courage while bringing positive energy to all team sessions...named to ACC's Academic Honor Roll.

As a redshirt sophomore in 2011: Saw action in six games, including vs. Wake Forest (Sept. 24) and vs. Princeton (Sept. 27).

Redshirted in 2010 season.

As a freshman in 2009: Saw action in eight games for the Terrapins...earned valuable minutes at No. 14 Duke (Oct. 10) and at No. 2 North Carolina (Oct. 24)...recorded two shots on the year...member of first Terrapin team to earn perfect 18-0 regular season record and program-best 23-1 record...part of ACC championship and NCAA finalist team.

Before Maryland: Four-year letterwinner at Hempfield Area HS, leading Spartans in scoring her freshman through junior seasons...left Hempfield midway through senior campaign to train and play for Club San Andres in Buenos Aires, Argentina...graduated from Pa. Cyber Charter School due to defection from Hempfield...earned first team All-WPIAL honors in 2006 and 2007, second team in 2005 and an honorable mention citation in 2008...still selected to play for '08 All-WPIAL Team after leaving for Argentina...elected team captain in `08... excelled in lacrosse as well, earning four letters and leading Hempfield in scoring for four seasons.

Personal: Tara Marie Zollinger...majoring in letters and sciences...Honor Roll student at Hempfield...enjoys playing the violin and piano...hopes to become a college coach...daughter of Matthew and Gwyn Zollinger...has a brother, Sean, and a sister, Courtney.
