COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland men's lacrosse coach John Tillman has released the Terps' 2014 schedule. The schedule features seven games against teams ranked among the preseason Top 20, and seven home games scheduled for Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium.
“We have, and always will, have one of the toughest and most challenging schedules in the country and this year is no exception,” said Tillman, who is entering his fourth season at the helm of the Terrapin program. “We also want to get into key areas that are important for our fans and alumni and this year’s schedule does just that. We’re especially pleased to have the opportunity to play two games in New York where many of our current players are from and where many of our alums are from and still live. It’s also exciting to get out to the Midwest, which is an emerging area for lacrosse.”
The Terps are coming off last year's 10-4 campaign that saw them reach the NCAA tournament for the 11th-straight season, which is the longest active streak in Division I men’s lacrosse.
