Before Maryland: Played at Maryland Juniors Volleyball Club... played three years of volleyball for the Langley Saxons, finishing as the state runner-up in Virginia her senior season...first-team all-state and second-team All-Met as a senior...Digital Sports Volleyball Player of the Year in 2007...All-Extra Volleyball Player of the Year as a senior, as well.. also a standout track & field athlete...participated in shot put and high jump at Langley...Liberty District and Northern Region champion in shot put...second place in Liberty District and Northern Region in high jump...played varsity basketball in 2005...played club volleyball for former Maryland assistant coach Xiangrong Liu with the Maryland Juniors.
