2016 Outdoor: Academic All-Big Ten...competed at six events...ran 1500m, 3000m, 5000m and 10,000m events...took seventh in the 3000 (10:35.58) at the Maryland Invitational (3/26)...placed second in the 5000 with a season-best 17:52.09 at the Lou Onesty Invite (4/9)...seventh in the 5000 (18:09.11) at the Hopkins/Loyola Invite (4/16)...finished fifth in the 10,000 (37:57.67) at the Larry Ellis Invite (4/22-23)...went 4:45.96 in the 1500 at the Kehoe Twilight (5/6)...finished 25th in the 10,000  at the Big Ten Championships (5/13-15). 

2016 Indoor: Competed in two events...finished sixth in the 5000 (18:18.76) at the Terrapin Invitational (1/30)...27th in the 5000 (17:58.38) at the SPIRE Invite (2/12-2/13). 

2013 Outdoor: Finished 30th at Duke Invitational in the 800 meters (2:23.39)…Season-best mark in the 1,500 meters in ACC Championship Prelims (4:47.26).

Before Maryland: Won the 1,600, 400, and 800 meters at districts while also finishing third in the 200 meters at districts as a senior... Has three Dubois Area High School records, 1600 meters (5:11.92 in 2012), 800 meters (2:18.09 in 2012) and anchored the 4x800 meter school record (9:43.93 in 2010)... Team won district championship all four years... Won the 2011 district championship in her only season running cross country.
Personal:  Daughter of Gregory and Karen Sheffo... Has two younger sisters, Monica and Natalie... Father played football at University of Pennsylvania... Taught Sunday school in high school... Graduated summa cum laude... Was an AP Scholar and recognized by the National Merit Scholar... Enjoys playing the piano in her spare time... Chose Maryland because of the great journalism school.
