CHICAGO, Ill.  – The Maryland women’s basketball team released its 2014-15 Big Ten schedule Thursday and will host all five of the league’s 2014 NCAA Tournament teams at XFINITY Center.

Coming off of their fifth Final Four, the Terrapins will host NCAA Tournament participants Purdue, Michigan State, Iowa, Nebraska and Penn State in College Park. They will have home and away matchups with Michigan State, Nebraska, Rutgers and Penn State.

Game times and television designations for all 18 conference games will be announced at a later date.

The Terps will welcome the Ohio State Buckeyes to XFINITY Center in their first-ever conference matchup on Monday, Dec. 29. Maryland beat Ohio State, 67-55 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge this past December in College Park.

Maryland will then head to 2014 Big Ten champion Nebraska for a game Sunday, Jan. 3 before returning home to host Purdue on Thursday, Jan. 8. Then, the Terps will hit the road for two games. They will play at Minnesota on Sunday, Jan. 11 and at Rutgers on Thursday, Jan. 15.

The Terrapins will head back to College Park to host Illinois Sunday, Jan. 18 and Michigan State on Thursday, Jan. 22. They will close out the month of January with two more road games – at Indiana on Sunday, Jan. 25 and at Michigan on Thursday, Jan. 29.

The Iowa Hawkeyes will come to the XFINITY Center on Sunday, Feb. 1, then Maryland will make the short trip to Penn State for a matchup on Thursday, Feb. 5. The Terps will host Nebraska on Sunday, Feb. 8 and Rutgers on Tuesday, Feb. 10. After a six-day break, the Terrapins will play at Michigan State on Monday, Feb. 16 and at Wisconsin on Thursday, Feb. 19.

Penn State will make its return trip to College Park on Monday, Feb. 23, then Indiana will be the Terrapins’ Senior Night opponent on Thursday, Feb. 26. The Terps will close the regular season at Northwestern on Sunday, March 1.

The 2015 Big Ten Tournament will be March 4-8 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill.

Maryland is 44-29 (.603) all-time against its 2014-15 Big Ten opponents and is 12-4 (.750) against them in head coach Brenda Frese’s 12 years. She is 24-10 (.706) all-time vs. Big Ten opponents.

In her one season coaching in the Big Ten (2001-02), Frese led Minnesota to a record of 22-8 overall, 11-5 in Big Ten play and an NCAA Tournament berth. She was named Associated Press National Coach of the Year in April 2002.
