ROSEMONT, Ill. – Maryland football’s November 15 home date against defending Rose Bowl champion Michigan State is set for a 8 p.m. kickoff and will be carried live on the Big Ten Network, the conference announced Tuesday.

For the Terps, it is the first scheduled televised primetime game since Maryland took on Notre Dame at FedEx Field on Nov. 12, 2011, and its first home contest to be featured in primetime since facing Clemson on Oct. 15, 2011.

Maryland and Michigan State will be meeting for the first time since 1950 when the Terps walked away from East Lansing with a 34-7 victory. The Spartans will be making only their second trip to College Park all-time. Michigan State earned an 8-0 win over the Terps in 1944 in Maryland’s only home game against the Spartans. Michigan State leads the all-time series 4-1.

Last season, the Spartans finished 13-1 en route to the Big Ten championship and a berth in the Rose Bowl where they defeated Stanford, 24-20.

Times and television information for the remainder of the Terps’ 2014 schedule will be announced at a later date.
