COLLEGE PARK, Md. – No. 8 Maryland women’s will travel to Baltimore Saturday to take on Towson at 8 p.m. in SECU Arena. The Terrapins will look to win their fourth straight matchup over the Tigers.

Maryland (3-1) won last year’s meeting between the teams at Towson Center, 88-43, on Dec. 11 behind 23 points and 13 rebounds from Alyssa Thomas. Katie Rutan added 16 points and Alicia DeVaughn had 12. The Terps are 13-5 all-time vs. Towson (1-3).
The Terrapins outran crosstown opponent George Washington, 87-51, behind four players in double figures for an 87-51 victory at Comcast Center. Alyssa Thomas had 18 points and 14 rebounds, and No. 8 Maryland never trailed. Freshman Shatori Walker-Kimbrough added 15 points, and freshman Brionna Jones and Alicia DeVaughn each added 11 points. DeVaughn scored nine of her points in the second half to go along with seven rebounds.
Thomas was named ACC Player of the Week Monday for her 15th weekly honor from the conference. She led the Terrapins with 20 points and 14 rebounds as they went toe-to-toe with No. 1 Connecticut last Friday.
The Terrapins will return home to host Drexel Monday at 7 p.m. and will host a pregame food drive. All fans are asked to bring non-perishable food items to donate.
