Fall 2000: Transferred from Southern Illinois...earned two wins at the Maryland Invitational tournament … posted a 2-4 record.

Before Maryland: High school district champion at Big Spring High School all four years… earned all-district honors 1995-1998 at the No. 1 singles position … earned third place in singles at the state championship in 1998 … captured third place in doubles at the state championship in 1995.

Personal: Born June 20, 1980 … daughter of Rey and Isabel Villarreal … has two sisters, Veronica (14) and Maria (24) … father played tennis at Angelo State University and sister, Maria, played tennis at Southern Illinois University… recognized by OMSE for making the Dean's List every semester at Maryland … a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the Finance Banking Investment Society and the Primannum Academic Honors Society...has a 3.77 GPA...majoring in finance.
