Women's Tennis Coaching Staff
Neda Mihneva
Volunteer Assistant Coach
Coach Info:
Position: Volunteer Assistant Coach
Experience: Redshirt

Neda Mihneva is in her first season as a volunteer assistant coach. A former Terrapin student-athlete, Mihneva played under head coach Martin Novak for four years, completing her eligibility in 2006.

Last season, Mihneva had nine singles victories and 16 doubles wins with senior Marianne Baker and junior Julia Graca.

"We were thrilled to add Neda on our coaching staff," Novak said. "The fact that she chose to coach here reflects well on the team. It is not easy to go from player to coach in one year, but Neda is making this transition very well and the team has also shown maturity in respecting her new role."

Prior to her arrival in College Park, Mihneva won the Bulgarian Singles and Doubles National Championship under ages 14, 16, and 18. She was also a finalist in the ITF doubles in Uruguay.

Mihneva majored in health at the University of Maryland.
