Causevic And Johnson Named To All-ACC Women's Tennis Team

COLLEGE PARK, Md.-Freshmen Delila Causevic (Silver Spring, Md.) and Jessica Johnson (Pittsburgh, Pa.) have both been named to the 2000 All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women's Tennis Team. Causevic and Johnson are two of 13 players selected by the league's nine head coaches as the best in the ACC.

Causevic ended the regular season with an overall record of 11-6 (3-3, ACC) for the season, having played primarily at the No.1 singles position. Johnson also had a solid rookie season, finishing 8-4 in the fall and 12-3 in the spring. In the ACC, Johnson went 5-1 for the spring competing in the No. 2 singles position. She also won the No.2 flight in singles in the conference.

Wake Forest, who registered three players on the All-ACC team, also gained recognition from freshman Adria Engel (Player and Rookie of the Year) and head coach Brian Fleishman (Coach of the Year). Engel is currently ranked no. 6 nationally.
