Lisa Miller and Maggie MacKeever also posted an impressive 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles to improve their season record to 4-2.

MacKeever won her third straight singles match coming from behind to defeat Virginia Tech's Martha Blakely 5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 10-4. MacKeever lost the first set and battled back from down 4-3 in the second set to force a tiebreaker. In the third set MacKeever dominated Blakely winning 10-4.
