Final Stats

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland finished non-conference play in convincing fashion beating Richmond 6-1 Saturday afternoon.

The Terps (5-12, 0-10 ACC) dominated the Spiders (5-11, 3-1 A10) in singles play winning five of six matches. Maryland also secured the doubles point with wins by Lisa Miller and Maggie MacKeever, and Lexi Brand and Jordan Hansbrough at No. 1 and 2 doubles respectively.

Julia Huscke made quick work of Richmond's Helen Cunningham at No. 3 singles winning 6-0, 6-4 and setting the tone for Maryland in singles play. Other Terp singles winners included MacKeever, Miller, Hansbrough, and Burce Kurkan at No. 1, 2, 4, and 6 singles.

The Terps dropped only three sets in singles matches.

With Saturday's win over Richmond, Maryland finishes the nonconference portion of its schedule over .500 with a 5-2 mark.

Sunday is Senior Day for the Terps. Maryland will honor two seniors, Lisa Miller and Maggie MacKeever. The Terps play host to No. 50 Wake Forest in both teams' final regular season matches at 11 a.m. at the Tennis Center at College Park.
