Women's Tennis Edged By Penn State, 4-3

STATE COLLEGE, Penn. - The University of Maryland women's tennis team lost for the first time this season, on the road against Penn State, 4-3. The Terps are now 5-1 overall.

On the singles end, junior co-captain Emily Marker (Ann Arbor, Mich.) defeated Megan Marton at the No. 1 seed. Freshmen Ramona But (Timisoara, Romania) and Andreea Fusea (Bucharest, Romania) also notched singles victories for the Terps.

The Terrapins return to the court on Feb. 27 when they host West Virginia. That match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Tennis Center at College Park.
