COLLEGE PARK, Md. - After taking a weekend off, the Terps are preparing to meet their first ACC opponent this season. Maryland will face Florida State on March 18 at 1 p.m. in College Park. The Terps dropped a 9-0 match to the Seminoles last year. The Seminoles are currently ranked 19th and have beaten five of seven ranked opponents this season.
The 52nd-ranked Terps have had an up and down season but are looking to improve their record when they square off against the Kansas Jayhawks on March 21 at 11 a.m. in College Park. The Jayhawks have a 8-3 record and are ranked 50th nationally.
19th-Ranked Florida State Comes to Maryland
In their first ACC match of the season, Maryland will square off against a top 20 team. Florida State is ranked 19th and has won seven consecutive matches, five against nationally ranked programs, before losing to Baylor on Wednesday. The Seminoles have a 10-3 record going into their contest with Maryland (5-4, 0-0 ACC).
Florida State will play its first ACC match on March 16 against North Carolina.
Terps to Host Kansas Jayhawks on March 21
The Terps will continue a four-game homestand on Tuesday March 21 against the Kansas Jayhawks. The Jayhawks are currently ranked 50th with an 8-3 record after losing 7-2 to Minnesota on Sunday. When the two teams met last season, the Terps dropped a 5-4 decision to the Golden Gophers.
