COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland concluded ACC road play with a 7-0 loss to No. 13 Florida State in Tallahassee Sunday afternoon.
The Terps (3-11, 0-9 ACC) faced their sixth-straight ranked opponent in the Seminoles (12-7, 6-2 ACC).
Senior Maggie MacKeever played one of her best matches of the season, beating No. 20 ranked Lauren McCreless in the first set 6-4 before dropping the match 3-6, 6-0, 10-3.
In doubles, Maryland mixed up the usual teams and forced tough battles at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. At No. 2 Freshmen Burce Kurkan and Lexi Brand gave the Seminoles Federina Suess and Jessica Sucupira a tough fight falling 8-5.
Maryland heads home for the remainder of the season. Wednesday, the Terps face Georgetown in a 2:30 meeting at the Tennis Center at College Park before finishing up ACC play over the weekend against N.C. State and Wake Forest.
