COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Coming off back-to-back third-place finishes in its two most recent fall competitions, University of Maryland's men's golf team heads back on the road this week to participate in the Temple Invitational.
The tournament takes place Friday and Saturday at Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic, Pa.
Twelfth-year head coach Tom Hanna plans to field a lineup consisting of senior John Moheyer, junior Tim Kane, junior Dan MacDonald and freshmen John Eades and Jeff Spradlin in this week's competition.
Moheyer and Kane, the Terps' most experienced players, have led the way in the early going. Kane has recorded consecutive top 10 finishes and Moheyer was the Terps' low man at The McLaughlin last weekend. Kane is averaging a team-best 72.0 strokes per round, with Moheyer right behind at 72.6.
Junior Dan MacDonald has also been solid in his two appearances, finishing tied for 15th at The McLaughlin and averaging 72.6 strokes per round.
