Maryland Ready for River Landing Intercollegiate

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -The University of Maryland men's golf team will continue spring play when it travels south to Wallace, N.C. for the River Landing Intercollegiate, hosted by East Carolina and UNC Wilmington from April 8-9.

In the Terps' last outing, the team finished second in the Penn Quaker Invite on April 4. Junior Sean Brannan hit a team-low 150.

Maryland's last top-five competitor came in William Wiseman, who led the team to a ninth-place finish at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate. Wiseman, a freshman, shot a 143 over two rounds to tie for fourth individually.

Thirteen other schools will compete at the River Landing Intercollegiate: co-hosts East Carolina and UNC Wilmington, NC State, Virginia, Liberty, Memphis, Lamar, Winthrop, Jacksonville, Old Dominion, St. John's, Seton Hall and USC Upstate.

The tournament, which is played on the par-72, 6,997-yard course, will begin Friday morning.
