WALLACE, N.C. -Freshman William Wiseman is tied for 15th and the University of Maryland men's golf team is in 11th after two rounds at the River Landing Intercollegiate in Wallace, N.C.
With a 72 in the first round and a 71 in the second, Wiseman, a sophomore, holds Maryland's two lowest scores on the day. A Salisbury, Md., native, Wiseman's best individual finish this season came at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate when he tied for fourth.
UNC Wilmington's Josh Brock holds the individual lead after Friday's first day with an 11-under 133. East Carolina's David Watkins and NC State's Albin Choi are tied for second at 137.
With a team score of 586 after two rounds, Maryland is in 11th place, though they are in striking distance of jumping up the leaderboards the next four teams in the standings are separated by just four strokes.
Liberty is in first with at 555 while the Pirates of East Carolina are in second at 561. Memphis is currently in third at 567.
The intercollegiate will conclude Saturday morning with the final 18 holes.
