COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland men's golf team will finish its fall season at the Georgetown Invitational, held at the Four Streams Golf Club in Beallsville, Md. Monday.
The Terps, coached by Tom Hanna, will seek their fifth straight top-five finish of the fall exhibition season. Most recently, Maryland placed sixth at the Firestone Invitational.
Junior John Popeck has led the Terps this fall; at the Firestone Invitational, hosted by Akron, Popeck finished tied for first overall thanks to a 68 in the final round.
Eleven other schools will participate in the Georgetown Invitational: Campbell, DePaul, Detroit-Mercy, Eastern Michigan, Georgetown, Miami (Ohio), UNC-Greensboro, Richmond, Saint Joseph's, William & Mary and Xavier.
Shotgun play will begin with 36 holes on Monday starting at 8 a.m. followed by the final 18 on Tuesday. The tournament will be held at the Members Club at Four Streams, which is a 7,100 yard, par-72 course.
