Terps to Raleigh for Wolfpack Open

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - With just one week remaining before the 2011 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, the University of Maryland men's golf team will travel south this weekend to compete in the Wolfpack Spring Open in Raleigh, N.C.

Hosted by NC State, the conference tournament primer will be played at the par-71, 7,358 yard Lonnie Poole Golf Course.Familiar to the course, the Terps partcipated in the Wolfpack Intercollegiate, held in the fall and finished in fourth place with a three-round 858.

Also competing in the intercollegiate is: Binghamton, Francis Marion, George Mason, Lamar, Longwood, Louisiana-Monroe, North Carolina, NC State, Old Dominion, Pennsylvania and Richmond.

The tournament will begin Saturday morning at approximately 9 a.m. followed by the final round on Sunday at 8 a.m.

Following the Wolfpack Open, Head Coach Tom Hanna and the Terps will compete in the annual ACC Championships, held at the Old North State Club in New London, N.C. beginning on Friday, April 22.
