COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland men's golf team will be hosting the third annual Maryland Intercollegiate at the River Marsh Golf Club at Hyatt Regency Resort in Cambridge, Md. The tournament runs Saturday through Sunday.
This is just the third year for the Terrapin's tournament. Two rounds will be played on Saturday with the final 18 holes played on Sunday. The par-71 course, designed by course architect Keith Foster in 2002, stretches 6,801 yards.
Last year junior John Popeck fired a 2-under-par 69 in the final round to finish in a tie for 11th place, leading Maryland to a sixth-place finish. Overall, the Terrapins shot 875 (290-289-296) over three rounds. Junior Sean Brannan also finished amongst the top 20 finishers for the Terps, shooting a 4-over-par 217 with consistent rounds of 73, 71 and 73 to finish in a tie for 14th place.
