Men's Golf Places in 11th at River Landing

River Landing Results Get Acrobat Reader

WALLACE, N.C. - Sophomore William Wiseman shot a team-low 217 over two days and the University of Maryland men's golf team finished in 11th at the River Landing Intercollegiate Saturday.

Wiseman, a transfer from Salisbury, Md., ended the two-day event just one stroke over par and tied for 19th place individually.

Joey Rice tied for 43rd at 223 and Tom Hanna III tied for 51st, just one stroke back at 224. Sean Brannan shot 227 and Sean Bosdosh took a 230.

UNC Wilmington's Josh Brock claimed the individual title with a weekend-best 201. Brock had his best outing Friday morning in the first round, when he fired off a tournament-low 66. NC State's Albin Choi claimed second at 203 while East Carolina's David Watkins picked up third at 207.

As a team, Maryland finished with an 888 card, placing them in 11th overall. The Terps shot a 291, their best score on the weekend, in the second round.

East Carolina won the team title with an 841, three strokes ahead of second-place Liberty. Memphis rounded out the top-three at 848.
