WALLACE, N.C. - Sophomore William Wiseman shot a team-low 217 over two days and the University of Maryland men's golf team finished in 11th at the River Landing Intercollegiate Saturday.
Wiseman, a transfer from Salisbury, Md., ended the two-day event just one stroke over par and tied for 19th place individually.
UNC Wilmington's Josh Brock claimed the individual title with a weekend-best 201. Brock had his best outing Friday morning in the first round, when he fired off a tournament-low 66. NC State's Albin Choi claimed second at 203 while East Carolina's David Watkins picked up third at 207.
As a team, Maryland finished with an 888 card, placing them in 11th overall. The Terps shot a 291, their best score on the weekend, in the second round.
East Carolina won the team title with an 841, three strokes ahead of second-place Liberty. Memphis rounded out the top-three at 848.
