As a sophomore (2013): Started in 14 games in left field and saw action in 28...hit .286 with 10 hits and four RBI...had a hit and scored a run vs. LIU Brooklyn (Feb. 17)...had a base hit vs. Notre Dame (March 3)...knocked in two RBI with a base hit vs. Howard (March 27)...went 2-for-3 at George Mason with a triple (April 10)...had two hits with a double in series at Georgia Tech (April 13)...went 1-for-2 with a walk and scored a run in all three games vs. Boston College (April 20)...notched two hits with an RBI vs. Delaware State (April 24)...went 1-for-3 with an RBI in series opener vs. North Carolina (April 27).

As a freshman (2012): Saw action in 14 games and started in one...served varied roles in the outfield, third base, pinch hitter and pinch runner...scored two runs on the year - at NC State (April 22) and vs. Delaware State (April 25)...notched first career hit and drove in an RBI vs. Delaware State (April 25).

Before Maryland: Played third base at Blake all four years...named First Team All-County in sophomore,junior and senior seasons...named an Honorable Mention All-Met player in her junior and senior finished third at states in her junior season and second at regionals as a captain as junior and senior...led the county with her .608 batting average as a junior...coached by David Schipani...also played field hockey at Blake...junior and senior year Second Team All-Gazette...senior year Honorable Mention finished second in the state in her junior senior year team was second at regionals...also played for Riviera Beach Spirit Gold and was coached by Mike Hyson.

Personal: Bridget Leslie Hawvermale...parents are John and Andrea Hawvermale...has three siblings, Daniel, who wrestled at Maryland, Duncan, who is a student at Maryland, and Jack...both parents went to Maryland...loved Cal Ripken as a kid...wants to get her engineering degree and get her MBA...2011 United States Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award, Wendy's High School Heisman State Finalist, AP Scholar, Merit Scholar, Scholar Athlete for H.S field hockey and softball team, National Honors Society, National Spanish Honors Society, Maryland Distinguished Scholar...also considered Princeton, Lehigh, Lafayette and Virginia...chose Maryland because she loves the team, the school and the major.
