Before Maryland: Originally went to play at UNLV...played four years of varsity softball at Diamond Ranch High School...played third base all three years and some first base her freshman her senior year, she hit .507 with six home runs, 27 RBI's and a .918 slugging percenate...named First Team All-Inland Valley and First Team All-Miramonte League, as well as to the Inland Valley All Star Team...named school's MVP...also named to First Team All-Tournament a junior, led team in batting average, slugging percentage, home runs and walks...named First Team All-Miramonte League in freshman and sophomore seasons as a sophomore she was named First Team All-Inland Empire and All-San Gabriel Valley, as well as First Team All-Tournament - Corona...hit walk off home run to send team to CIF...played for the club team California Lite...led ESPN Rise Premier Nationals with five home runs and a .1381 slugging percentage...was also second in the leader boards with her .667 average, .714 on base percentage and 16 RBI's...went 9-for-9 in the tournament.

Personal: Parents are Victor and Ursula Stewart...has one older sister, Kristin...chose to come to Maryland because she loved the diversity, the coaching staff, as well as the education...always eats a muffin before every game...would love to one day play overseas and be a Division I head coach.
