    As a freshman (2013): Made 37 appearances in the circle, including 26 starts...pitched 127.1 innings and allowed 140 hits, 74 earned runs and picked up 86 strikeouts...did not allow a hit vs. #13 UCLA in her stint in as a reliever (Feb. 23)...allowed just one hit to #8 California in 2.0 innings in the circle (Feb. 23) 6.1 innings vs. St. John's, allowed just four hits, two earned runs (March 8)...allowed six hits and one earned run in 6.0 innings vs. Hampton (March 12)...gave up just three hits and one earned run in 6.0 innings vs. Oklahoma State (March 15)...was named ACC Pitcher of the Week (March 19) her complete game shutout vs. Valparaiso, allowed just five hits with six strikeouts (March 16)...pitched a five-inning no-hitter vs. Howard (March 27) her complete game win over Florida State, allowed three earned runs off eight hits with five strikeouts (March 30)...picked up a career-high 10 strikeouts in 7.0 innings vs. Coppin State in which she allowed two earned runs (April 3)...came in as a reliever in game one at NC State and allowed just one hit and no runs to preserve the Terps' 2-1 win (April 6) Terps' second win over North Carolina, allowed just one run off six hits in run-rule, six-inning win (April 27)...came in as a reliever and pitched final three innings in ACC Quarterfinals game vs. Virginia Tech...allowed just one hit, no runs (May 9).

    Before Maryland: Played at Edmond Santa Fe High School for Rhonda Lawson...was a pitcher and went 34-9 overall and advance to Oklahoma state semifinals in her senior year (2012)...went 26-5 on the mound with an ERA of 1.75, 200 strikeouts, a .348 average at the plate and 36 RBI that year...named The Oklahoman's All-Big City Player of the Year, All-District Player of the Year and an All-State First Team pitcher...named All-Edmond Player of the Year, All-Vype West pitcher...earned the Ferguson Jenkins Student-Athlete award and was named a March of Dimes Top 3 Outstanding Athlete...graduated with a GPA of 3.8...played club softball for the Tulsa Eagles Gold for Dave Simmons and Tommy Rogers...led team in home runs in junior and seniors summers and hit over .400 in those years as well...planned events for a marketing class, including the Heather Harkness Memorial Volleyball Tournament and was active in Youth in Government.

    Personal: Madison Nicole Martin...parents are Toby and Amie Martin...has one younger brother, Jake...has many superstitions...wants to work for ESPN one day and intends to be a broadcast journalism major...came to Maryland for the coaches, team and the journalism program...also considered West Point and Wichita State.
